| Subject: | Employee Listing Report to display Salary based on "Pay Category" |
| Summary: | Hi Sanjay In the Employee Listing Report – there is a column as “Salary / Rate” and this column displays data if the “Show Salary (Y/N):” parameter is set to “Y”. There have been a lot of queries coming in on how data should be displayed in this column:
- Some companies want to display data based on what is selected in the “Pay Category” under employee maintenance: (refer to Figure 1)
- If Pay Category = Salary: display the annual salary figure
- If Pay Category = Wage: display the hourly rate figure
Figure 1: Employee Maintenance 
- Some companies want to see the annual salary figure despite what is set on the profile
- And, some companies want to see the hourly rate figure despite what is set on the profile
How can we best achieve this so that we are able to cater this requirement from all the companies? Would we be able to add a Report Rule for this? Regards
