Subject: | Need clarification for "Maximum Allowed Quantity" configuration in POS |
Summary: | Hi Sanjay, I need clarification on this case. There is a configuration in POS "Maximum Allowed Quantity". As it is, I assume that the configuration is to limit the number of items we can sell per transaction. I have verified this configuration and below are the results. - I set the "Maximum Allowed Quantity" to 2.
- I loaded item PNT01 with a single click from the fast key, I tried to change the quantity to 5. This was not allowed.
- I loaded 5 of item PNT01 by clicking on the item 5 times on the fast key. Sale quantity was 5 and the transaction was completed.
- I loaded 5 of item PNT01 by searching the item 5 times. Sale quantity was 5 and the transaction was completed.
- I loaded 5 of item PNT01 by typing the product code under the barcode 5 items. Sale quantity was 5 and the transaction was completed.
Concerns - What is the purpose of the configuration? Does it only look at quantity change?
- Should the configuration check for the configured quantity regardless of how the items are loaded.

| Hi Rashna, This configuration was added to control how much a user can change the Quantity when manually changing the product quantity. Assigned to Alvis to clarify configuration description, then allocate to Rashna to explain with examples in the documentation. |
