Subject: Position Change Alert is being received by employee. Can this be made configurable?
Summary:

Currently, the way the Position Change Alert is designed:

  1. The To Address is picked from configuration: Email address to send position change alert
  2. Another To Address is picked from Employee Profile
  3. The CC Address is picked from: HR email address

This alert is triggered when either:

  1. the Cost Centre is change in the positing on menu 313-4: Please be advised that your cost centre has changed from "10.30-Suva IT" to "11.10-Lautoka Admin"
  2. or, if the positing is changes on menu 321: Please be advised that your position has changed from 008-General Manager, Operations (11.10-Lautoka Admin) to 004-Application Consultant (10.30-Suva IT)

Can we make the “To Address which is picked from Employee Profile” configurable? As some companies want the make the employee aware and for some do not. 

One support case we received was from GFI, where they have raised concerns saying that this “confuses many and these employees question them back”.

Therefore, we are requesting if the Can we make the “To Address which is picked from Employee Profile” configurable? to suit everyone’s need.

Please advise.

Development work for this case has been completed.

The change will be available in version:11.5

1. The following changes were made(Include Database object names, Program classes and any other relevant information):

  1. Added "Module Configuration" to configurations
  2. Moved configuration "mail_position_change_email" to module configuration
  3. Added "SendEmailToEmployee" &  "SendEmailToHR" to module configuration
  4. Implemented change to "Position Cost Centre change" and "Employee Position Change" alerts 

2. Affected Areas:

  1. Configuration ~> Module Configuration for the rule "mail_position_change_flag"
  2. Position Cost Centre change alert
  3. Employee Position Change alert

3. The issue was caused by:

  1. Improvement
