Subject: | Customer name is not saved when name is changed and record saved using the File ~> Save option |
Summary: | Hi Sanjay, Customer name is not saved when name is changed and record saved using the File ~> Save option This has been replicated in 8.20 Beta 2. Tested case in QA1 with database LINKSOFT. Steps to Replicate - Log into POS
- Enable configuration " Allow users to assign new customer numbers" as Yes.
- Go to Customer Menu
- Select the Option to create new customer - "File --> New Customer"
- Enter customer code - PGCU0000000126
- Enter Name as "Link Technologies"
- Save customer from the File option - "File --> Save Customer".
- The Name changes back to the name before Save.
Note: We have customer call for this and client is wanting to know what are the names of the customer. The Audit data has name inserted as blank. Can we get data from any other option? |

| Hi Sanjay, When users click "save" from "file" menu without tabbing out of the changed field, the changes are lost. Rashna: please setup the client environment on QA machine so I can investigate what had happened. regards Alvis |

| Hi Rashna, The "save" behavior on the "customer save menu" option has been resolved. Note that this issue is not the cause of the "blank customer code". The update will be available on 820.BETA3 Regards Sanjay |
