Subject: Incorrect Payslip Emailed to Employees
Summary:    

Bula Alvis

A client has raised a major issue with Link Business that when payslips are sent, incorrect payslips are attached. Below are some examples:

  1. For company A, employee 4331 received payslip of employee 5559. This incident occurred on 29th August 2019.
  2. For company A, employee 2247 received payslip for employee 2147. This incident occurred on 14th August 2019. 
  3. For Company B, employee 5039 received payslip of employee 883. This occurred on 07/08/2019
  4. For Company C, employee 806 received payslip for employee 5245. This occurred on 31/07/2019

The issue is not relating to the incorrect email address set at Employee Profiles. The content of the email is sent to the right person, example for scenario 1 above, below was the email sent, however the payslip attached to this email was of employee 5559.

Our Consultants have verified the attachments at Business Intelligence>> Report Email log for the respective batches for these employees. The attachment on that menu is correct.

Please kindly review and advise the cause.

Development work for this case has been completed.
The change will be available in version:10.150
1. The following changes were made(Include Database object names, Program classes and any other relevant information):
  1. Changed the attachment file name to include employee id. This ensures the filename is unique for the email process.
2. Affected Areas:
  1. Email Payslip
3. The issue was caused by:
  1. The attachment filename was not unique which may have caused intermittent issues of receiving incorrect attachments in the email.
