Subject: Leave History screen to have a "cancel" approve button.
Summary:    

Dear Development Team,


One of our clients has requested for the "cancel" approval button to be displayed on the Leave History screen.


They have placed the following scenario: 

  • Manager approves Employee A's leave for a particular period.
  • After a few hours, Employee B has an emergency and requests to go on leave for the same period as Employee A.
Here, the manager would utilise the "cancel" approval button and reject Employee A's leave and approve Employee B's leave. When the "cancel" approval button is clicked, Employee A should received a email notification.

We have provided the them with the workaround saying that they can email payroll and request for Employee A's leave to be rejected and thus the manager would need to advise Employee A.

Tick the leave transaction and press the “cancel approval button”

The leave ticked should be cancel and moved to the Leave Approvals screen.

 

 

The cancel leave should appear on the Leave History Screen

The leave should appear here with the same options as “Approve/Reject”

Can you include details of the what we have to test step by step, please keep the structure of the test plan simple.

  1. Implement the similar feature as Time Entry to cancel leave approval. 
  2. Notify the employee, HR and managers that the leave has been cancelled.
  3. Status of the leave be updated as applied.
  4. All approval should be reset.

  1. Leave Management Changes:
    1. Added leave applications form to show all leave entry
    2. Changed Edit Control based on leave status
    3. Leave Status of "Applied,Planned,Void,Approved" can be edited. Editing Approved leave will reset the leave approval workflow and change status to Applied.
    4. Removed Leave History screen
  2. Time Management Changes:
    1. Chagned Time View - Day to show all time entries
    2. Added "Cancel Approval", "Email Report" functionality to "Time view - day"
    3. Changed Edit control based on time status
    4. Time status of "New, Submitted" can be edited
    5. Removed Time History Screen
