Version 7.2 Release B is designed to deliver platform compatibility with Windows 2012 servers, SQL server 2012 and strong integration between modules to make it easier for customers to implement and maintain their systems.
Included in this release is an easy upgrade path from previous versions which will be further enhanced in the next two releases (7.2 Release C and 7.2 Release D) which is scheduled to be released in June and November this year. Below are the details of the current release, together with Upgrade instructions.

- 2013 Tax inclusions for Payroll system with added configurations for users to manually add/modify tax tables (based on user security)
- HTML reporting for Employee Self Serve Time entry with configurable email alerts
- Improved implementation of web caching
- Payslip email feature for Employee Self Serve
- Improvements and compatibility changes for Internet explorer 9 and 10
- Improved integration between Employee Self serve and Financial package
- Improvements to Recruitment management with ability to review and complete applications
- Improved replication processing and mismatch corrections between sites
- Improvements to workflow between recruitment management and HRIS module
- Resolved all reported issues and implemented two rounds of quality testing
- Added additional groups and filters on employee self serve time and leave entry sections
Installation and Upgrade Instructions
For customers that have customizations applied to their systems, please contact Link Technologies to ensure that the upgrade process can be adjusted to take into account any custom reports or custom scripts that may have been applied.

The following modules are web applications that needs to be installed and configured by your Information Technology department
- Employee Self Serve (IIS6.5, IIS7, IIS7.5, .Net 3.5 or later, windows Server 2003 to 2012, Crystal runtime 13)
- Recruitment Manager (IIS6.5, IIS7, IIS7.5, .Net 3.5 or later, windows Server 2003 to 2012, Crystal runtime 13)
The following applications are windows forms applications:
- Link Back office (Payroll, HRIS, Back office applications) (WinXP, Win7, Win8, Server 2003 to 2012)
- Point of Sales (WinXP, Win7, Win8, Server 2003 to 2012)
- Link Reporter (WinXP, Win7, Win8, Server 2003 to 2012)
A blank database is provided with this release which needs to be restored on your SQL server for new installations.
For existing installations, the POS system will automatically detect if your database needs upgrading. The system will prompt the user to initiate the upgrade after which you will be able to log in to your system.
