Subject: Allow search by "Employee ID" and Employee "Name" to be functional in new LINKSOFT database
Summary:    

Hi Sanjay,

When time sheet is loaded in Menu 331-2; the search by "Employee ID" is case sensitive and the search by "Name" is not functional.

The issue was reported by our Client on Version 8007.23 whereby they could not search either by Employee ID or Name. I was able to replicate it in Demo database in Version 8130.00 and noticed that Employee ID is functional only if it is entered as per the alphabetic case of the Employee ID and search by Name is not functional at all. Please refer below images:

The following changes have been made:

  1. Removed find options by ID and Name
  2. added wildcard search on employee id and employee name.

Tested case in QA1 with database LINKSOFT. Tested with version 819. Beta 1.

We updated all employees on 321 to have time sheet Yes. Generated Timesheet for 15/11/2017.

On menu 331-2 we wanted to filter records for Chris Warner.
On the search text we typed "chris". Record for "Christopher Rapley" was highlighted.
We typed the full name " Chris Warner" , the record highlighted was still for "Christopher Rapley"

4What is the purpose of the "Search" button, the pencil icon moves to and from as we type the ID under the search field?Answer:

    Hi Rashna,

    I have resolved the issue with employee name search for "Chris Warner".

    Clicking on Search button will perform the search. This is useful when users move the cursor to another record, they can click on search to go back to the searched record.
