Subject: | System does not send out a confirmation email to that new user created. |
Summary: | Dear Team, When a new login is created in Helpdesk, the system does not send out a confirmation email to that user. This is needed by VT - Solutions to alert the user that their account has been created and this login details are. They need this feature implemented as they create user logins for their clients and currently their clients are no way notified on the login created.

| 1. Was this test completed using Demo / New / Other database? Demo 2. Did the test pass or fail? Failed 3. Tab order, spelling, alignment, font size consistency, screen size etc checked? N/A 4. Data verified, saved, edit, delete/void? N/A 5. Documentation update required?
Additional Details (Risks, issues, special conditions required for this test to pass etc): Hi Alvis, The email notification is sent however, it only has the user name in the content. The password is not included in the alert. Hence users will not be able to login via the URL in the email. Request - VT - Solutions to alert the user that their account has been created and this login details are.

| Hi Rashna, Passwords are encrypted and cannot be emailed when a new user is registered. I had this discussion with Sanjay as well and he agreed that password will not be in the email when a user registers. You can reset the password from the user maintenance so the system can generate a new password to be emailed. regards Alvis

| Hi Team, As per the discussion in the development meeting 23/05/2017. with Sanjeet, Alvis and Vineet. - When users are created password is saved in the database which is encrypted. Hence, the user creation alert only sends the username.
- In ESS, Helpdesk and POS web after users have been created, administrators need to approve the account. This is where the administrators can "Approve" and "Reset Password" for the user. Therefore, a second alert will be fired with the reset password.
- On the other hand, in RM users know the password when registering and can log in without approval. The Name, email address and mobile number used for registering is mapped to personal information under vacancy.
This case is now closed. Regards Rashna
