Subject: POS SDC Certification changes required by FRCS
Summary:    Email from Ivan re: Certification

Hi Sanjeet,

After initial testing four issues are found. Good news is that none of it is really critical. I believe you can came out with a fix quickly. We also have some suggestions on how to improve usability of your product which are not mandatory.

Suggested Improvements

  1. Test connection to E-SDC using Attention command during configuration
  2. Provide example for E-SDC configuration in manual
  3. Allow connections to E-SDC to target different ports, not just 8888
  4. Use Employee TIN instead of cashier name. This will be verified once audit packages are received on the backend

Issues

  1. Buyer’s TIN is not submitted to E-SDC for B2B invoices
  2. Reprint must produce COPY SALE or COPY REFUND with Ref Number of the original document
  3. Quotations should be sent to SDC and produce PROFORMA SALE or PROFORMA REFUND documents
  4. POS must provide PAC (POS access code) with each receipt it is sent to V-SDC if digital certificate is distributed as PFX file

I will be on skype from 18:30 today if you want to clarify those issues.

Cheers,

Ivan

The following changes have been made to ESDC:

Suggested Improvements

  1. Test connection to E-SDC using Attention command during configuration. Sanjay - Attention command is used before SDC processing to check availability.
  2. Allow connections to E-SDC to target different ports, not just 8888. Sanjay - THe URL is configurable, you can use any port
  3. Use Employee TIN instead of cashier name. This will be verified once audit packages are received on the backend. Sanjay - Added Users TIN number. User TIN is maintained o the User Maintenance form.

Issues

  1. Buyer’s TIN is not submitted to E-SDC for B2B invoices. Sanjay - Added Customers TFN number
  2. Reprint must produce COPY SALE or COPY REFUND with Ref Number of the original document. Sanjay - When a reprint is done, we sign the invoice according to the specifications
  3. Quotations should be sent to SDC and produce PROFORMA SALE or PROFORMA REFUND documents. Sanjay - added quotation signing to SDC
  4. POS must provide PAC (POS access code) with each receipt it is sent to V-SDC if digital certificate is distributed as PFX file. Sanjay - No changes made for these.

Dear Mr Prasad Anand Sanjeet,

We're emailing you in order to inform you about the immediate changes regarding availability of virtual E-SDC for POS vendors and technical support for integration with VMS.

All POS developers should follow the instructions in this email so they could connect to E-SDC environment hosted by DTI and provided to POS Vendors for development and in-house testing of E-SDC integration.

As E-SDCs are property of FRCS, please return E-SDCs, smart card readers and smart cards to:

FRCS, Information Technology

Revenue & Customs Service Complex,

Lot 1 Corner of Queen Elizabeth Drive & Ratu Sukuna Road,

Nasese, Suva, Fiji

Reasons for moving

· E-SDCs were not originally intended for distribution

· Reducing configuration and upgrade difficulties

· Improving support to POS vendors

· Making sure all POSes are targeting the latest API

Terms of use of hosted E-SDCs

DTI provides development environment to POS Vendors who want to integrate their POSes with E-SDC devices.

This is only a development environment and POS Vendor shall not use it for live testing.
