Hi Sanjay, 

We did Team Viewer on site and reviewed the performance. 

The Sales by Category report takes up to 30 minutes to generate. This causes the machine to slow down.

A copy of the database has been restored in QA 4 as CLIENT-BBOX-LINKSOFT. 

We generated the report with the below filters, see figure 1. It was over 10 minutes but the report was not loaded.

The following changes were made(Include Database object names, Program classes and any other relevant information):

  1. Added a rebuild index process under Process menu in POS Web.
  2. Refactored report selection procedure to improve performance.

The report took less than 10 seconds to retrieve data.

Additional Details (Risks, issues, special conditions required for this test to pass etc): 

The sales by category report for Bargain was generated in less than a minute. The report was generated for location BASH2 with "Show Product as Yes". The output had 23 pages.

Without the location filters the report was generated in 7 minutes with 258 pages.
